What Tsumu does
Tsumu creates word and sentence cards from material you choose, enriches word cards with dictionary data, and schedules reviews. It has no ready-made course, account, or subscription. Ordinary card creation, review, and study logging work offline; pronunciation audio downloads and device sync need a network connection. Tsumu is separate from Anki, though the macOS app accepts cards from AnkiConnect clients such as Yomitan.
The Android app supports Android 11 or later. The macOS app targets macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon. There is no iPhone app. Windows support is under verification: the current Windows frontend still calls older core interfaces, so its build and workflows should be checked before it is offered as a supported download.
Tsumu stores a collection on each device. Sync is designed for one desktop and one Android phone; two desktop collections do not sync directly.
